20 ml (~0.75 oz) sweet vermouth
1 dash of Angostura

Notes

A Manhattan made with Scotch in place of rye or bourbon. It was created in 1894 at the Waldorf Hotel in New York to mark the premiere of a Broadway operetta about the Scottish folk hero Rob Roy MacGregor. Stir with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass, garnishing with a cherry.
