Notes
An early-1900s forerunner of the Dry Martini, "French" meaning French dry vermouth. It was originally served in equal parts at room temperature before colder, drier, gin-heavy ratios took over. Stir with ice and strain, or build to taste. Its sweet counterpart, made with Italian vermouth, is the Gin and It.
