Notes
A Dry Martini made "dirty" with a measure of olive brine, which clouds the drink and adds a savory, saline edge. The garnish is one or more olives. The dirty version dates to the early 1900s, with New York bartender John O'Connor often credited, and it became firmly associated with mid-century cocktail culture. Stir with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Use vodka in place of gin for a Dirty Vodka Martini.
